Kim was the seventh child born to the union of Willie Lee Yates Sr. and Christine Hubbard Yates, both deceased, on December 11, 1957 at City Hospital.
She attended Akron Public Schools and worked at Akron Children’s Hospital and Valley View Nursing Home until her illness prevented her from working. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age and was baptized at Macedonia Baptist Church.
She leaves to mourn her passing siblings, Willie Jean Yates Sessor of Cleveland, Oh, John (Evelyn) Yates of Pensacola, Florida, Shirley Yates of Akron, Ohio, Cathy Yates Douglas of Akron, Ohio, Jimmie (Andrea) Yates of Parma, Ohio, Gary Yates of Columbus, Ohio, Willie Lee Yates Jr. of Akron, Ohio and uncle and aunts, numerous nieces and nephews; special cousin, Danny V. Yates all that she loved dearly. She will be missed by all.
